Simon Voigt
Simon Voigt is a musician based in Denmark. In 2019 he founded the interdisciplinary platform ØRENLYD, which hosts and creates projects orbiting around sonic exploration, supporting communities and raising awareness for the natural environment through sensuousness. During the COVID-19 pandemic, as all activities and performances were suspended, Simon found a new home in reading and writing poetry. Action, Spectacle is the first magazine to publish his work. Simon is currently working on his first full length poetry manuscript.

decreasing size
from base to tip
the leaf wrests
from crushing
caravan preceding
wicked Easter
intoxicated semi-nude
lactating in full arousal
cracking pavement
spring in heels
milk flowing
around her ankles
her shadow
growing drunk
labour’s
hyacinth aroma
pouring from the corporal
temple where blood is
black as soil
and sweet as lake fermented
under sheets of ice
opened
for the feast
of loins
breasts
and back the many eyes

I lie under the tree
where fruit is falling
blowing the horn of my ear
telling the world
I am made
I am more now
than she can bare
the navel chord
leading to ten dark pits
maybe deep
